Yasuní, in eastern Ecuador is home to millions of species of plants, birds, insects, and mammals.
The Yasuni Biosphere Reserve comprises the Yasuni National Park and the Waorani Ethnic Reserve, located in the Amazon region in the provinces of Pastaza, Orellana located in the north of Ecuador.
The Yasuni Biosphere Reserve is one of the areas with the greatest biodiversity per square meter on the planet. 99.73% of the biosphere reserve consists of original natural vegetation.
